Hassan Kojori and Cristian Anghel work as senior principal investigators for the Advanced Technology Group – Electric Power Systems at Honeywell in Toronto, respectively Tucson.
Combined they have over 45 years of experience in the area of systems and electrical engineering along with program management expertise, primarily in the aerospace industry. Together they hold over 25 US patents and they both have graduate degrees from University of Toronto, Canada.

| Scope of work: |
The quest for high power density solutions to power conversion systems has recently yielded intriguing new engineering ideas and conversion topologies. Most hinge on the theoretical prediction that the size of magnetic components should decrease as the conversion frequency is increased, e.g. to 50-100kHz. One of the emerging technologies in the magnetics area is the planar magnetics.
The team engaged in this project will perform research and trade studies for planar magnetic and other magnetic design for 1-10 kW power converter applications. A literature review and research of the industry state of the art will be performed first. Test samples will be provided to the team. The team will design test instrumentation and collect electrical and thermal data the test items. |
